Custom Tool and Die's engineering department works in close collaboration with the customer, our sales department, as well as with manufacturing to produce tools that meet or exceed our customers needs.  From reverse engineering via. our CMM department to "lending a hand" when needed in the manufacturing department. Our project engineers started there careers apprenticing under die makers to become tool makers themselves.  We feel this is an important concept because they understand our products not as theories but as fact.
Our designs are developed using Solid Edge ST and are created in complete solids. Working with a total solid design from conception to delivery of the final tool allows us to manufacture products that have solid performance, which for our customer means return on investment. Upon completion of the die the customer is provided electronic design data and if requested a complete set of plots. The electronic archive that our customers receives contains both 3D and 2D data. The 3D data is exported to whatever format is most easily transferred to your native design software - the most common types are .x_t as well as .xpk. The 2D data is exported to AutoCAD as well as Adobe pdf files. Our designs are either burnt onto a CD-ROM or transferred over the internet via email or ftp.
